FAQ – Dissolving Colonies

Dissolve colonies

In BeeInTouch, you can dissolve colonies with just a few clicks and move them to the archive. All stock card data remain intact while your active overview stays tidy. Later, you can filter archived colonies by reason, analyse them, or reactivate if needed.

Proper documentation of the dissolution process is helpful for review, quality assurance and breeding decisions. Always record the reason, date and short notes (e.g. unification, sale, colony loss, recovery attempt).

  4. If you accidentally dissolved a colony, click „Reaktivieren“ to restore it to the active overview.

Tips for clear documentation

Before archiving, make sure all key entries (inspections, treatments, events) are documented in the hive record. The archive reduces daily workload without losing knowledge.
